I personaly dont like them very much, i feel they contribute to a huge amount of waste in the energy it takes to manufacture them all year round and i really dislike the negative impact they have our our animal friends.

Still, its a tradition in this country we cannot stop. So not wanting to be a total killjoy and in the hope that no one or no thing gets killed by these dangerous overpriced objects or has damage to their lives in some way by idiots who do not respect just how dangerous these things can be, the kids and i took our places on the patio, veggie hot dogs and chocolate cake as we watched the display of fireworks from the safety of our hill top house overlooking the town and Neath valley, wondering just how much money we were seeing being set alight that night.

I just cant help wondering how much money had been burnt that night and how much food that would have bought a starving family or contributed towards training a health worker in a developing country or building a school room that has been bombed in war torn communities.

Happy bonfire/guy fawks/firework weekend folks.
